Sumo Digital Ltd, a renowned game development studio, is seeking a highly skilled Principal Graphics Programmer to join their team in Nottingham. Since 2016, the studio has been known for crafting innovative and inclusive action and racing titles for console and PC.

The successful candidate will collaborate with artists to understand and realize the artistic vision by developing and deploying shaders and materials. They will work closely with cross-discipline teams to communicate and implement cutting-edge graphics techniques, ensuring visual effects are optimized without sacrificing quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deploy shaders and materials to bring artistic visions to life.
  2. Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to implement cutting-edge graphics techniques.
  3. Optimize visual effects without compromising quality.
  4. Mentor junior team members to enhance technical expertise.
  5. Stay up-to-date with new hardware systems and research innovative graphics features.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent C/C++ programming skills.
  2. Outstanding mathematics and problem-solving abilities.
  3. Deep understanding of graphics techniques and GPU features.
  4. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
