Job Opportunity: Senior Transport Planner

About the Role:

Pertemps TM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transport Planner to join our team in Fleet office. As a key member of our transportation and highways engineering consultancy, you will play a crucial role in delivering sustainable solutions for infrastructure projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive Transport Assessments and Statements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough Travel Plans and Coordination to optimize transportation systems.
  • Present technical data and drawings to stakeholders, effectively communicating complex information.
  • Perform junction capacity assessments using advanced tools such as ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities to ensure timely and budgeted delivery of tasks.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, promoting professional development and growth.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop innovative solutions and contribute to technical development.
  • Assist Team Leaders in advising clients on Highways & Transport matters, providing expert guidance and recommendations.
  • Conduct site appraisals and surveys to gather data and inform project decisions.
  • Maintain accurate project files and assist with related tasks to ensure seamless project delivery.

Candidate Specifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field, such as transportation engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in UK Transport Planning, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) or equivalent professional body.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
  • Numerically literate and able to analyze complex data.
  • Experience with traffic assessment tools and a strong understanding of transportation systems.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
