Job Title: Internal Sales Executive

Location: Tamworth

Reports to: Regional Manager

Hours: Monday to Friday, days, 37.5 hours per week

Role Overview:

The Internal Sales Executive will play a crucial role in supporting Branch & regional Sales targets and attaining monthly and annual sales targets for the branches. This involves identifying opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and championing business objectives to maximize sales potential, margin, volume, and profit.

Mandatory Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all organisational policies
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to agreed deadlines for all customers
  • Work efficiently and effectively
  • Ensure effective communication with the Customer and Branch Managers
  • Accurate weekly and monthly reporting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a selection of existing accounts to achieve maximum business
  • Open new accounts and ensure they continue to develop profitably
  • Accurately take and input orders into the system
  • Provide quotations
  • Maximize add-on sales
  • Make proactive telephone calls to lapsed accounts and potential new customers
  • Collaborate closely with Branch Managers to ensure correct products are delivered on time
  • Regularly engage with external sales and credit control teams
  • Work collaboratively to create awareness in the customer base of the full range of product offerings
  • Focus on qualifying leads
  • Chase outstanding quotations
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitors, and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities

Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:

  • Previous internal sales experience
  • Sales experience in a construction-related distribution
  • Good level of numeracy & IT levels
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build & maintain key relationships with customers
  • A calm individual capable of working well under pressure
