Nursery Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join our team at Step Teachers. As a Nursery Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Maintain a well-organized classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Comply with the school's policies and procedures, including those related to student welfare and behavior.

Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years curriculum.
  • Recent experience as a Nursery Teacher in a primary or preschool setting.
  • Good level of classroom and behavior management.
  • Experience working with SEND is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
