Job Title: Building Maintenance Services Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Building Maintenance Services Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Estates and Campus Services department, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various aspects of our buildings, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform general HVAC repairs and maintenance
  • Make adjustments to mechanical plant using our Building Management System (BMS)
  • Carry out plumbing works and drainage repairs
  • Conduct roof and gulley inspections
  • Assist with general electrical works and small projects

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. You should be passionate about starting your career and excited about the opportunity to become an apprentice at our institution. This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about building services and maintenance in a world-class university setting.

What We Offer:

We offer a 4-year apprenticeship program that will provide you with an in-depth introduction to the education sector, while building industry knowledge and professional networks. You will spend one day a week at college, developing your knowledge, skills, and behaviours listed in your apprenticeship training plan.

Individuals without level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve level 2 in Functional Skills.
