Assistant Shop Manager Ipswich

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Shop Manager in Ipswich. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Shop Manager in the day-to-day management of the shop, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Shop Manager in the day-to-day management of the shop, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and customer service.
- Generate donations and maintain a high level of customer engagement through effective communication and relationship-building.
- Manage stock deliveries and collections, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient stockroom management.
- Record keeping, cash handling, and other administrative tasks as required.
- Recruit, train, motivate, manage, and support a loyal and committed team of volunteers.
- Ambitious and enthusiastic individual with a passion for retail and customer service.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and volunteers.
- Organised and resourceful with a keen eye for detail.
- Personable, hands-on, and committed to achieving the highest retail standards.
- Good communication and customer service skills are essential.
- An affinity with the work that Woodgreen does and a desire to increase public awareness and donor engagement of the Charity's mission.
- A competitive salary of £23,400 pro rata per annum, equivalent to £12 per hour.
- Pro rata equivalent of 36 days annual leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays) rising by 1 day each year to 40 days after five years.
- Up to 8% employer pension contributions.
