About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to join our team at Jamie Cann House in Ipswich. As a Night Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to our customers, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to customers, including assistance with daily living tasks and medication administration.
  • Support customers through temporary or terminal illness, providing emotional and practical care.
  • Help customers with eating and drinking, as well as light domestic duties such as bed making.
  • Support customers with social, physical activities, and mental stimulation, such as hobbies and recreation.

To be eligible for the £750 joining bonus, you must meet the following criteria:

  • If you have not been working in the care industry for the previous 2 years OR have come straight from education (e.g., college, sixth form, apprenticeship).
  • You must be employed for a minimum of 8 hours per week.
  • The scheme must be a CQC registered provider in Suffolk.
  • You must work for at least 12 weeks with Orwell and pass this starting period to qualify for the payment.
