Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant with SEMHJob Overview:

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies to support students' academic and social development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students with SEMH needs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or higher.
  • Additional training in areas such as autism awareness or mental health first aid.
Working Conditions:
  • Work primarily within a school setting.
  • May involve some physical activity and emotional support for students.
  • Collaboration with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals.
