Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic primary school in Romford. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in the classroom.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for working with young, vulnerable people and be empathetic, kind, and keen to learn. Previous experience working with SEN is highly beneficial, but not essential. As a positive role model, you will spread positivity and build good relationships with both young people and the classroom teacher.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with special educational needs in the classroom
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to provide individualized support
  • Assist with the planning of activities and monitor pupils' progress
  • Intervene when necessary and provide relevant feedback to the classroom teacher
  • Perform general Teaching Assistant duties
