Housing Liaison Officer

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Haringey to assist with the appointment of a Housing Liaison Officer, on a 3-month contract, with potential for extension. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To participate in the organisation's response to emergencies, coordinating actions and providing support to residents.
  • To manage incidents of low-level anti-social behaviour, including harassment, nuisance, and neighbour disputes, taking appropriate action in liaison with Haringey Council, Police, and other agencies.
  • To support the effective management and re-letting of void properties by conducting pre-termination visits, accompanied viewings, sign-ups, and new tenant visits, ensuring new tenants are aware of their responsibilities under the tenancy agreement.
  • To provide general advice on housing options, including transfers or any other tenancy-related issues, supporting new tenants as necessary to settle into their homes.
  • To ensure robust tenancy sustainment, working across the patch, collaborating with internal and external partners to achieve successful outcomes, escalating complex cases to the Senior Housing Officer as required.

Requirements:

  • A high standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Experience working with the general public, preferably in a service delivery setting.
  • Ability to work in a diverse community.

  • You should be available to start immediately or at short notice.
  • You must have the right to work in the UK.
  • This role requires a basic DBS.
