Housing Liaison Officer

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Haringey to provide temporary support for a Housing Liaison Officer role. This 3-month contract may be extended at the client's discretion. If you're interested, please submit your CV for consideration.

Compensation: £17.54 - £21.72 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in emergency response efforts, coordinating actions and providing support to residents.
  • Manage low-level anti-social behavior incidents, including harassment, nuisance, and neighbor disputes, taking appropriate action in collaboration with Haringey Council, Police, and other agencies. Take enforcement action to resolve anti-social behavior and tenancy breaches, referring complex issues to a Senior Housing Officer.
  • Support effective property management and re-letting by conducting pre-termination visits, accompanied viewings, sign-ups, and new tenant visits, ensuring new tenants understand their responsibilities under the tenancy agreement.
  • Provide general advice on housing options, including transfers or other tenancy-related issues, and support new tenants in settling into their homes.
  • Ensure robust tenancy sustainment, working across the patch, and collaborating with internal and external partners to achieve successful outcomes, escalating complex cases to the Senior Housing Officer as needed.

  • High standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development
  • Experience working with the general public, preferably in a service delivery setting
  • Ability to work in a diverse community
