Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Shift Engineer - Client Direct

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Shift Engineer to join our team at CBW Staffing Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the maintenance of critical commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive maintenance is carried out to all client assets through operation of Planned Preventative Maintenance System.
  • Manage the shift team and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Deal with hands-on work when needed and ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain the plant in serviceable order at all times.
  • Carry out routine quality checks on workforce activities, record keeping and general housekeeping.
  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
  • Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are completed in the form of job sheets.
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, reviewed and utilized for all tasks (PPM and reactive) carried out to ensure safe working practices.

Requirements:

  • Electrically OR Mechanically qualified Level 3 / HNC / HND
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
  • Ability to lead a team of engineers
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • An understanding of critical plant: Chillers, HVAC, UPS systems, Cooling Towers etc
  • Excellent customer skills
  • Must be able to get to site for 07:00am start (On day shift)

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Any further qualifications (i.e. Electrical or Air Conditioning etc)
  • Experience working in a bank / data centre / commercial Office
  • High Voltage - Experience / Qualification - Current or expired
  • Previous experience a day and night shift pattern
