Position Overview:

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be a vital part of a busy and effective team. The role requires strong relationship management skills, both within the team and with external partners.


The Administrative Coordinator will:

  • Support the multidisciplinary team in providing comprehensive emotional and mental health assessments.
  • Facilitate brief interventions for children and young people entering care, as well as those already in care.
  • Assist in training, family rehabilitation efforts, and social work consultations.


Administrative Duties:
The post-holder will ensure effective and efficient administration that supports management by maintaining high standards of data quality and optimizing resources. Working closely with the Service Administration Manager and Admin Lead, the role involves:

  • Carrying out a variety of administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Liaising with clinicians to ensure timely data collection for auditing and reporting.


Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess significant administrative experience within the NHS or a comparable organization. They should be self-motivated, capable of working independently, and eager to assist in enhancing systems and processes.


Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves collaboration with clinical staff to facilitate data management.


About the Community & Integrated Service:
This service line encompasses all community-based services and those integrated with local authorities and primary care. It is home to our core Community Camden CAMHS and adult primary care services.


About First Step:
First Step is an innovative psychological health screening and assessment service dedicated to the needs of Haringey's looked-after children and young people. Our small, multidisciplinary team includes social work, clinical psychology, systems, and child psychotherapy professionals.


We provide thorough emotional and mental health assessments for all children entering care, alongside brief assessments for those currently in care and intensive interventions for young people facing chronic instability.
