Director of Estates Job Description

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Director of Estates to oversee the entire contract, including maintenance, compliance, technical, and sustainability functions, and associated engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement engineering service structures and services in a large and complex healthcare environment.
  • Lead and manage the operational estates provision, its managers, trade staff, and contractors.
  • Provide assurance to the Board on operational estates provision.
  • Manage significant budgets for pay, non-pay, utilities, and capital allocations.
  • Represent the Estates and Facilities division at key operational and strategic meetings.
  • Monitor the Estates Department's Operational efficiency and compliance against National Safety Standards and Regulatory Procedures.
  • Support the development of the Estates staff training programme.
  • Provide tactical, strategic, and operational advice to the Senior Leadership Team.
Requirements:
  • Qualified in an engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical); C&G, HNC, HND or higher.
  • Experience of service delivery across a portfolio of commercial sites.
  • Previous experience of managing a large engineering team.
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
  • Healthcare or PFI experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
