Job Title: Director of Finance and Estates

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance and Estates to join our team at Southend High School for Boys.

About the Role:

The Director of Finance and Estates will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of the Trust's Finance and Estates functions, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our educational vision, aims, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advising the Headteacher, Trust Board, and other school leaders on financial operations and estates matters.
  • Ensuring sound risk management arrangements are in place.
  • Preparing and monitoring budgets, and delivering annual accounts in accordance with the Academy Trust Handbook and EFSA guidelines.
  • Leading the finance team and estates team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across the site.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and estates management, with experience in a senior financial role. They will be passionate about education and have a clear vision for finance and estates at Southend High School for Boys.

The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker, with an innovative approach to problem-solving, and will be able to lead the promotion and delivery of good financial management.
