We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Equity Coverage Senior Manager/Assistant Director to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our Financial Sponsor Coverage team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term commercial relationships with financial sponsors, including private equity firms, to drive sustainable and profitable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive coverage strategy to identify and pursue new business opportunities with private equity firms and other financial sponsors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at private equity firms, including portfolio company CEOs and CFOs, to understand their business needs and identify opportunities for BDO to deliver value-added services.
- Collaborate with BDO's Advisory, Tax, and Audit teams to deliver high-quality services to private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with private equity firms, including M&A advisory, financial due diligence, and other services.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the private equity industry, including market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments.
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) or relevant work experience in a coverage role or transactional role.
- Existing network and relationships with decision-makers at private equity firms in the mid and upper-mid market, as well as in the broader financial and professional services industry.
- Solution-oriented mindset and client-centric approach, with a proven track record of building long-term trusted client relationships and internal and external networking experience and abilities.
- Ability to identify client issues and articulate solutions, with strong communication, listening, influencing, and interpersonal skills across organisational levels.
- Ability to build rapport and relationships in line with BDO values, which is collaborative in nature and a team player.
- Strong business/commercial acumen, goal and results-oriented, with the ability to measure and report on success.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities through effective prioritisation and delegation.
- Strong quantitative, numerical, and analytical skills, with proficiency in working with data and research tools.
