About the Role

This is a pivotal position within our organization, driving our corporate strategy by leading complex cross-functional projects that span both our branded and own-brand supply bases. As a Strategic Sourcing Manager at Sainsbury's, you will play a key role in analyzing the value chain of our own-brand products, from farm to store, to inform strategic sourcing decisions and identify opportunities for mutual benefit with our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex cross-functional projects that span both our branded and own-brand supply bases.
  • Analyze the value chain of our own-brand products, from farm to store, to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Manage the branded supplier investment process to deliver cost of goods reduction and introduce exciting new propositions in our stores.
  • Act as an ambassador for our corporate objectives, providing support and challenge to the trading teams and ensuring aligned decision-making through Steering Groups comprised of Category Directors and cross-functional leaders.
  • Programme manage multiple projects, hold stakeholders accountable, and collaborate effectively with teams such as Buying, Supply Chain, Ranging, Category Planning, Finance, and Packaging.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project and programme management.
  • Strong strategic mindset and ability to analyze data to generate compelling insights and drive informed decision-making.
