Job Description:

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to fill the role of Director of Programme Management Office. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of a suite of Accredited Programmes and Structured Interventions in the North West region.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Programme Strategy: Develop and implement a programme strategy that aligns with the Ministry of Justice's goals and objectives, ensuring the effective delivery of Accredited Programmes and Structured Interventions.
  2. Lead Programme Delivery Team: Lead a team of programme delivery staff, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the successful delivery of programmes.
  3. Manage Programme Resources: Manage programme resources, including budget, staff, and infrastructure, to ensure the effective delivery of programmes.
  4. Develop and Maintain Partnerships: Develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including courts, sentence management, and community organizations, to ensure the effective delivery of programmes.
  5. Monitor and Evaluate Programme Performance: Monitor and evaluate programme performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to ensure the effective delivery of programmes.
  6. Ensure Compliance with Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including health and safety policies and procedures.
  7. Develop and Implement Quality Assurance Processes: Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure the effective delivery of programmes.
  8. Provide Training and Development Opportunities: Provide training and development opportunities to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver programmes effectively.
  9. Collaborate with Other Teams: Collaborate with other teams, including sentence management and community organizations, to ensure the effective delivery of programmes.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Probation Qualification Framework Graduate Diploma/ Honours Degree in Community Justice integrated with Level 5 Diploma in Probation Practice, or a qualification recognized by the Secretary of State for Justice.
  • Experience: Significant experience in programme management, including leading teams and managing resources.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
