Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Burnley. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and strong-willed individual who can manage challenging behaviors and provide support to students across the school. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have been excluded from mainstream education and can adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with SEMH needs, including physical, social, and emotional welfare
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCo's to develop tailored plans for individual students
  • Support children's learning and development in a classroom setting
  • Manage challenging behaviors and provide a safe and supportive environment for students
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances
