We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Burnley. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide support to students across the school, ensuring their physical, social, and emotional welfare. You will work closely with teachers and SENCo's to adapt support according to individualised needs. This is a full-time, long-term position available from October 2024.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide support to students with SEMH needs, promoting their physical, social, and emotional welfare.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCo's to develop and implement individualised support plans.
- Assist with adapting the curriculum to meet the needs of students with SEMH.
- Support the class teacher in managing challenging behaviors.
- Collaborate with the SEN team to ensure seamless support for students.
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of SEMH strategies and interventions.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- A competitive hourly rate of £13.50.
