About the Role

Vistry Group PLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team in the South West Midlands region. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting the management team in the day-to-day control of the site, ensuring the successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the management team in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects
  • Monitor and control site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project delivery within budget and schedule
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of site progress, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Participate in safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety within the team
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve site efficiency, productivity, and quality

Requirements

  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Scaffold inspection qualification
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of construction processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
