About the Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will be tasked with developing test conditions, crafting test scenarios, generating test data, and formulating test cases. You will execute these test cases, document results, and compile test outputs to provide evidence that supports repeatable testing, aids in defect investigation, or establishes a formal audit trail for compliance with specifications. A Quality Engineer also identifies and implements automated testing solutions, leveraging their expertise in test automation frameworks and best practices. You will be responsible for designing, delivering, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts, while reporting outcomes to test management.

  • Advocate for the Roq QE Ecosystem and our QE Principles
  • Conduct thorough analysis on systems or system components
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, technical teams, and Subject Matter Experts to ensure test specifications are appropriate and comprehensive
  • Design and develop test cases and test data, ensuring alignment with requirements
  • Create, build, and sustain automated testing solutions using standard industry tools
  • Utilize and promote Roq's unique automation accelerators
  • Work in partnership with business personnel, particularly during testing phases such as User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Live Proving
  • Establish and maintain detailed test execution schedules for individual components
  • Conduct structured test execution across various test phases, including functional automation, exploratory, and static testing
  • Document test results and gather relevant test evidence
  • Identify and re-test defects
  • Perform any additional duties as required by the company

  • Proficient understanding of test automation frameworks
  • Awareness of the test automation tools market and their effective application
  • An advocate for recommended testing practices and quality engineering

EXCELLENCE

  • Familiarity with various development methodologies (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid)
  • Demonstrable object-oriented programming skills (Java or C#)
  • Ability to support the creation and maintenance of automation frameworks following best practices
  • Experience in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) environments
  • Proven track record in a test automation role

COMMITMENT

  • Experience with Page Object Model and Object-Oriented programming
  • Knowledge of a variety of test automation tools, with the ability to influence tool selection when appropriate
  • Understanding of design patterns and methodologies in test automation
