We are seeking an experienced Old Age Psychiatry Consultant to join our team at Avon & Wiltshire M Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to elderly patients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized care plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide evidence-based treatment and interventions, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure informed decision-making and optimal outcomes.
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, share best practices, and drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies, guidelines, and protocols to enhance patient care and safety.
- Provide education and training to junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare professionals to promote knowledge sharing and skill development.
- MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent medical qualification.
- At least 6 months of recent NHS experience within the last 3 years, with a strong background in old age psychiatry.
