- Lesson Planning: Collaborate with the Class Teacher and other professionals to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of diverse learners.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Work alongside the KS1 Curriculum to ensure a deep understanding of age expectations.
- Differentiated Learning: Adapt learning to meet the needs of children with additional needs and diverse learners.
- Professional Development: Commit to continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Safeguarding: Ensure the safeguarding of all pupils, adhering to school policies and participating in regular safeguarding training.
- Progress Monitoring: Record children's progress to provide feedback to children, parents, and the Class Teacher.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Behaviour Management: Effective behaviour management strategies.
- DBS Certificate: Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service.
- Experience: Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
