Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable primary school in Birmingham. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing exceptional support to children with special educational needs.

Job Summary:

The Higher Level Teaching Assistant will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the national curriculum in Key Stage 1 and 2, while also providing individualized support to children with special needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEND and a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of the national curriculum in Key Stage 1 and 2
  • Provide individualized support to children with special educational needs
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies to support children with SEND
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
Requirements:
  • Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualifications
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
