Senior Manager of Global IT Software Engineering – Generative AI/LLM SDK

We are on the lookout for a highly proficient and seasoned full-stack Software Engineering Senior Manager with expertise in Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLM) to become a vital part of our Gen AI platform team. This position is centered around the development and upkeep of cloud-native platforms tailored for Generative AI and LLM advancements. The ideal candidate will possess a robust foundation in reusable software components, frameworks, SDKs, microservices, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps/MLOps/LLMOps, coupled with a fervor for crafting scalable, dependable, and efficient systems.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent qualification/experience.
- Demonstrated experience in Generative AI, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Natural Language Processing.
- Over 12 years of relevant experience in delivering complex technology solutions with a strong technical background, preferably in a global enterprise setting.
- At least 2 years of experience in experimenting and developing with LLMs.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in deploying LLMs for production use cases.
- More than 8 years of experience leading enterprise-scale software engineering or platform engineering teams.
- A passionate expert in Modern Engineering and DevOps practices, with a strong grasp of CI/CD, AI/ML pipelines, and automation tools.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Generative AI and LLM-based development.
- Proficient in creating conversational agent-based user experiences.
- Experienced in developing SDKs and libraries for other developers.
- Strong experience with key LLM model APIs (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI) and LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
- Familiarity with multi-agent frameworks and understanding their applications in complex problem-solving scenarios.
- Expertise in building secure data ingestion pipelines for unstructured data, including indexing, search, and advanced retrieval patterns.
- Proficient in generating and utilizing text embeddings, with a solid understanding of embedding spaces and their applications in semantic search and information retrieval.
- Knowledge and experience in constructing knowledge graphs in production environments.
- Familiarity with RAG concepts and fundamentals (VectorDBs, AWS OpenSearch, semantic search), with expertise in implementing RAG systems that integrate knowledge bases with Generative AI models.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, NodeJS, ReactJS, and associated GenAI libraries and frameworks.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with LLM guardrails.
- Knowledge of security considerations related to LLM integration.
- Experience in LLM testing and evaluation.
- Understanding of LLM security.
- Collaborating with your Gen AI Platform Engineering chapter within the Cloud and Platform Engineering Portfolio.
- Engaging with Product Owners, Chapter Leads, and fellow squad members.
- Working alongside Agile Coaches and Scrum Leads to adopt agile principles and methodologies in your daily activities, with coaching support throughout the transformation process.
