Clinical Psychologist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Psychologist in the Critical Care Psychology Service. As a specialist in clinical health psychology, you will be responsible for providing highly specialist psychological care to critical care patients and their families. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care and support provided to patients and ICU survivors.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a Doctoral Clinical Psychology qualification and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will have post-qualification specialist experience in clinical health psychology and be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of psychological models and evidence-based interventions for physical health and mood-related issues.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highly specialist psychological care to critical care patients and their families.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care and support provided to patients and ICU survivors.
- Develop and implement effective clinical governance processes to promote the use of evidence-based practice in the service.
- Contribute to the development of multi-disciplinary services, including staff training, service development, and evaluation.
- Participate in clinical and caseload supervision arrangements and contribute to the appraisal process.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of clinical health psychology and be able to demonstrate a range of relevant psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention skills. You will also have good written and verbal communication and liaison skills, including the ability to communicate difficult and/or sensitive information.
