Position Overview
Permanent Full-Time Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 qualified practitioner to become a vital part of our team. Our focus is on delivering exceptional experiences and educational opportunities, ensuring that every child receives the utmost care and education. We provide a competitive salary that exceeds industry standards, along with salary increments. You will enjoy a generous holiday entitlement of up to 35 days per year, inclusive of public holidays.
Your responsibilities will include creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
You will also be responsible for promoting the health and well-being of the children in our care.
Additionally, you will actively participate in monitoring and documenting children's progress and collaborating with other professionals, both within our organization and externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to OFSTED Standards & Regulations.
- Ensure compliance with child protection protocols.
- Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Room Leader.
- Lead efforts in delivering high-quality educational care.
- Follow nursery and Trust policies and procedures diligently.
- Maintain the safety and health of children by conducting risk assessments as necessary.

About Our Organization
Leadership and Development Training
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is committed to providing leadership and development training for all new staff members. This training program is designed to enhance our leaders' understanding of management and leadership skills. Participation in the New and Aspiring Leaders program, as well as the Foundation Quality Improvement Program, is expected. Upon completion of this one-and-a-half-day training, you will have the opportunity to explore additional leadership and development training options, including in-house courses and bite-sized programs, as well as leadership apprenticeships at levels 3, 5, and 7.

Qualifications
Essential
- NNEB / BTEC / NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent qualifications.
Desirable
- Current 12-hour Pediatric First Aid certification.
Knowledge
Essential
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Familiarity with the Childcare Act 2009 requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and procedures.
- Knowledge of OFSTED standards and regulations.
Desirable
- Relevant experience in a childcare environment.
- Experience working with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
