About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Specialist to join our team at It247solutions. As an IT Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for administering and managing our IT infrastructure, including VMWare vSphere/vCenter environments, Microsoft Windows Servers, and various system security tools.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Administer and manage VMWare vSphere/vCenter environments, Microsoft Windows Servers, and system security tools.
  2. Participate in on-call support, scheduled weekend outages, and disaster recovery activities as required.
  3. Document all procedures and installs of new products.
  4. Review documentation to ensure that it meets testing standards, document troubleshooting, and restoral activities.
  5. Create test plans that will allow for a proper evaluation of hardware and software being considered for implementation.
  6. Evaluate vendor submissions for compliance with customer's specifications.

Essential Skills

  1. Experience with Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare) and/or an equivalent qualification.
  2. Experience administrating Windows systems and servers.
  3. Experience with various Linux operating systems.
  4. Experience with Nutanix and Cohesity.
  5. Disaster Recovery, Backup, Storage and System Security Tools Knowledge.
  6. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  7. Critical thinking/ability to analyze a situation for underlying issues.
  8. Commitment to maintaining the highest standard of customer service with outstanding oral and written communication.
  9. Ability/desire to learn new skills and technologies as required.

What else could be helpful to be successful in this role:

  1. Knowledge and application of ITIL concepts.
  2. Project Management or project leadership experience.
  3. Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt quickly to changing situations.
