Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Development Officer to join our team at East Renfrewshire Council. The successful candidate will work closely with our management team to provide a high-quality service that meets the needs of children aged 0-5 years and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement a service that promotes the well-being and development of young children.
  • Work with children with additional support needs to provide tailored support and interventions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with families and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote the best interests of children.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in child development and early years education.
Requirements
  • Hold a HNC Childhood Practice at SCQF Level 7 or equivalent qualification recognized by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
  • Have experience working with children with additional support needs.
  • Be registered with the SSSC or eligible to apply for registration.
  • Have the right to work in the UK and be able to provide proof of this.
