Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Board Secretary to join our team at Belmont Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Board Members and ensuring the smooth operation of our governance structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Board: Provide proactive and constructive support to Board Members to fulfill their roles and responsibilities.
- Procedural Advice: Offer guidance on procedural matters, communication with Board Members between meetings, and other agreed-upon matters with the Board Chair.
- Board Member Register: Coordinate and manage Board Member Register of Interest documents and ensure the Board operates in line with the Assurance Framework.
- Administrative Support: Work independently to manage complex and competing deadlines and agendas, issue background papers, and coordinate meeting venues.
- Minute-Taking: Be responsible for minute-taking and reporting.
Requirements:
- Organizational Skills: Possess well-developed organizational, management, and supervisory skills.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate significant attention to detail.
- Education: Hold a graduate standard of numeracy, literacy, and research skills.
- Communication Skills: Possess the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with senior members of the Board and previous experience of working at such a level.
- Experience: Have at least 5 years of board management or similar experience, particularly supporting boards or committees in making high-level decisions in adherence with the governance structure.
- Written Communication Skills: Demonstrate a high level of written communication skills, particularly in minute-taking.
