About the Role
Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Sister/Educator. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to develop a new combined role, split 50% direct clinical care and 50% education.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Department Lead Nurse in the continuing development of staff and working in autonomy as a member of the multi-professional team. They will also be responsible for mentoring and supporting a variety of learners in the workplace, working clinically with new and established Nurses and Health Care Assistants.
Requirements
- First Level Nurse (RGN)
- Appropriate teaching qualification
- Evidence of completion of Pre Assessment courses
- Minimum 2 years recent ongoing experience in a related area
- Evidence of achievements in previous role
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to display highly effective multi-professional ways of working. They will also have good oral and written communication skills, management/leadership skills, good organisational skills, and the ability to problem solve.
