We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Functional Assessor to join our team at GAIA RECRUITMENT LIMITED. As a Functional Assessor, you will play a critical role in evaluating the impact of health conditions and disabilities on an individual's daily life.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial reviews, paper-based, face-to-face, video, or telephone assessments to evaluate how a claimant's health condition or disability affects their day-to-day life.
- Observe and report on an individual's ability to carry out activities while analyzing and interpreting clinical information and supporting evidence.
- Create comprehensive 3,000-4,000-word reports of the evidence gathered for each claimant, each day.
- One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic.
- Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, or other), without restriction or conditions, and with a valid PIN.
- Excellent observational and communication skills, giving you the ability to listen, empathize, and dig deeper.
- The ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute.
- Demonstrable experience with using IT and Microsoft Office, as well as remotely accessing systems such as MS Teams.
We provide a comprehensive 12-week training program, with time set aside for self-development learning. You will also receive close mentorship as you work on your ongoing development. Our salary starts at £38,500 per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus a 5% retention bonus, with opportunities for increases based on performance and achievement of remote and face-to-face delivery status.
