Postdoctoral Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our team at the MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a world-class research laboratory where scientists and clinicians collaborate to advance the understanding of biology and its application to medicine.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for planning and carrying out research, writing and publishing results, and forming good working relationships with other members of the group. They will also assist others and co-supervise students when required, and contribute to the development and maintenance of the group's experimental or computational infrastructure.
Requirements- PhD or equivalent experience
- Experience in human or mouse genetics, cell and molecular biology, human iPS/ES cell culture/differentiation or functional genomics
- Ability to develop and apply new concepts, independently carry out experimental and/or computational projects and analyses, and have a creative approach to problem solving
- Good understanding of computational biology methods and great attention to detail
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
This role qualifies for endorsement by UKRI for a UK Global Talent Visa, and the successful applicant is likely to be eligible to apply.
