We are working with a reputable secondary school in Salford to find an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2024.

This role involves providing individualized support to students with SEN, who may display low-level challenging behaviours and can become disengaged from learning quickly. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students with SEN succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning atmosphere and provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them engage with the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN in a secondary school setting
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment
  • Provide individualized support to students, including one-on-one and small group work
  • Aid teachers in managing classroom behaviour and creating an inclusive environment
  • Motivate and mentor students to build confidence and develop essential life skills
