About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Facilities Assistant to join our dynamic Facilities Management team at Starling Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Building Walk Rounds: Conduct regular inspections of the office, meeting rooms, and kitchens to identify and report any issues or concerns.
  • Meeting Room Coordination: Manage the scheduling and setup of meeting rooms, including arranging furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Health and Safety: Conduct monthly safety assessments and ensure that all necessary protocols are in place to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Issue Logging and Resolution: Log and track all issues, including maintenance requests and repairs, and work with external contractors to resolve them in a timely manner.
  • First Aid and Fire Warden: Provide first aid and fire safety support as needed, and ensure that all necessary procedures are in place.
  • Receiving and Storing Deliveries: Assist with the receipt and storage of goods and equipment, and ensure that all deliveries are properly documented.
  • Merchandise and Stock Management: Manage the on-site merchandise and stock, including receiving and distributing new stock to employees.
  • Access Control: Coordinate changes to staff and visitor access, including managing access cards and logs.
  • Reception Coverage: Provide coverage for the reception desk during lunch breaks or absences.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as required to support the business and ensure the smooth operation of the office.
Requirements
  • Strong IT and Administration Skills: Proficiency in using IT systems and software to manage tasks and communicate with colleagues.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Proactive Approach: Willingness to take initiative and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
