As a Brewery and Tenanted Safety Consultant, you will play a vital role in promoting a safe working environment across our Brewery and Support Office. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about both Health & Safety and Fire Safety, who are eager to share their enthusiasm and drive to influence our teams while advancing their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support to the safety team and collaborate with all stakeholders to cultivate a best-practice safety culture.
- Advise management on prioritizing, enhancing, and completing corrective actions following observations, audits, and inspections.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety protocols, including Risk Assessments and incident reporting.
- Work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure ongoing compliance with statutory requirements.
- Support the creation and execution of new safety policies and systems.
- Foster collaborative interactions to continually enhance the company's safety systems.
- Maintain confidential safety files for the Brewery and Support Office.
- Monitor compliance and advocate for continued adherence to safety standards.
- Accurately document all relevant compliance items in the required systems.
- Guide management and tenanted pubs in processing and documenting accidents and incidents.
- Expand knowledge of Health and Safety and Fire Safety legislation relevant to our operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Safety Manager.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses a Level 3 Health & Safety qualification (aspiration to achieve this is preferred).
- Has prior experience in safety within the manufacturing sector.
- Is observant and skilled in identifying and addressing hazards promptly.
- Demonstrates a passion for promoting a safety-oriented culture and the confidence to lead key initiatives.
- Exhibits professionalism with a strong commitment to safety.
- Is approachable and capable of effective communication with stakeholders.
- Displays diligence with a keen attention to detail.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and possesses data analytical skills.
- Is organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
