About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Head of Year at Star Academies. As a key member of our pastoral team, you will play a vital role in fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pastoral support to students, ensuring their academic and personal well-being.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to promote student engagement and motivation.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless student support.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall well-being of the school community.
Requirements
- 5 A*-Cs at GCSE, including English and Maths.
- Experience of working with young people in an education setting.
- Experience of providing pastoral support within an education setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with students and other adults.
