- Oversee and coordinate manufacturing processes within designated areas of responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safeguarding both internal and external customer interests.
- Maintain optimal functionality of the departmental area by managing labor, materials, and equipment to meet production goals.
- Inspire and lead the team through effective coaching and mentorship.
- Achieve excellence in housekeeping, waste management, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage departmental budgets effectively, ensuring cost-efficient use of resources.
- Empower the team to establish work standards and processes, facilitating labor allocation and production target achievement.
- Drive the elimination of non-value-added activities in alignment with company improvement initiatives.
- Support team performance measurement and problem-solving efforts to protect customer interests.
- Plan labor needs and oversee recruitment processes.
- Ensure effective communication across all business levels.
- Lead problem resolution efforts and facilitate team investigations.
- Assist in training initiatives to develop team capabilities and mitigate labor shortages.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data collection.
- Audit visual management practices and implement corrective action plans as necessary.
- Develop and execute robust strategies for problem containment and resolution.
- Address and resolve local Industrial Relations matters.
- Monitor and manage budgetary expenditures related to overtime and consumables.
- Challenge existing processes to foster continuous improvement.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding sensitive company information.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in team leadership and development, with a strong understanding of the required skill sets.
- Demonstrated ability in coaching and mentoring to enhance team morale and performance.
- Capability to identify team strengths and training needs effectively.
- Business acumen to ensure efficient reporting systems and procedures.
- Familiarity with 'lean Manufacturing' principles and methodologies.
- Strong diagnostic skills for fault identification and resolution.
- Willingness to engage in continuous learning in areas such as Kaizen, Industrial Engineering, and Quality Management.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a determined approach to challenges.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as required.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel as needed.
