Job Title: Sales Manager (Reports To: Regional Manager)
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve budgeted gross profit targets from all sales team members.
- Lead and inspire a dedicated team of Account Managers.
- Meet personal margin goals from an established customer base.
- Ensure that Sales and Marketing expenses from direct reports remain below 20% of total generated margin.
- Reach focus brand and opportunity targets, secure new business, and enhance customer spending.
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategically plan and deliver on the agreed gross profit budget for the region.
- Maintain a cost base cap of 20%.
- Oversee daily management, training, and development of team members.
- Enhance the efficiency of local account managers, focusing on new business, margin-driving categories, and customer spending.
- Participate in joint visits to key prospects to maximize onboarding opportunities.
- Conduct monthly sales meetings to review performance.
- Perform annual evaluations of direct reports.
- Collaborate on recruitment of new sales staff with the Sales Director and Depot Manager.
- Manage relationships and profitability of key regional accounts.
- Demonstrate motivation and the ability to thrive in high-pressure situations while effectively managing personnel.
- Ensure achievement of personal margin targets from retained customers.
- Act as a representative of the team within the organization.
- Serve as the company's representative to the team.
- Coordinate with partner depot managers to meet profit targets.
- Prepare and present accurate reports to company directors.
- Stay informed about competitor activities in the market.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the on-trade beverage sector is essential.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Demonstrated experience in team management.
- Familiarity with CRM and sales software.
- Experience in sales reporting is essential.
