Due to our ongoing growth and increasing order volume, we are seeking proficient CNC Milling Programmers to enhance our team.

Role Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the programming and production of compliant components on CNC machines, ensuring that we consistently meet our clients' expectations for quality and delivery. You will collaborate closely with the Production Manager, Setter/Operators, and fellow team members to foster a right-first-time approach in all departmental tasks. Adherence to established techniques and practices, along with a commitment to continuous improvement, is essential. You will also have opportunities for skill enhancement through training, all within an AS9100 quality framework.

Key Duties:

  • Develop CNC machine programs from models and drawings utilizing CAD/CAM software for both offline and online programming.
  • Determine and select appropriate tooling for efficient part manufacturing.
  • Identify and implement suitable work holding systems for parts production.
  • Operate CNC machines safely and effectively.
  • Load programs onto machines, ensuring correct tooling selection and offsets.
  • Conduct in-process inspections of produced parts.
  • Manufacture parts that conform to specified drawings.
  • Perform deburring operations as necessary.
  • Change inserts and tool offsets as required.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation.
  • Utilize SFDC (Shop Floor Data Collection) for precise job tracking.
  • Report any non-conforming parts through SFDC and to the team leader.
  • Propose enhancements to programs/tooling to boost productivity and quality.
  • Execute part marking when needed.
  • Proficiently use all relevant metrology equipment.
  • Operate CMM measuring equipment (training provided if necessary).
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in CNC machining on lathes.
  • Mentor and train trainee setter/operators, operators, and apprentices.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality of machine programs.
  • Recommend improvements to work holding, tooling, machinery, and processes to meet customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain machinery as directed.
  • Actively participate as a team member and provide support to colleagues as needed.

Candidate Profile:

  • At least 5 years of experience programming Fanuc CNC/Siemens Controls.
  • Minimum of 5 years in setting and operating CNC Mills; this role requires skilled programmers/setters.
  • Must have a reliable means of commuting to work.

Compensation Package:

Overtime opportunities are available at a rate of 1.33 times the hourly wage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Hourly rate

Expected working hours: 42.5 hours per week (includes a paid 30-minute break).
