In response to our growing capacity and an increasing order book, we are seeking talented CNC Milling Programmers to enhance our team.
Role Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility is to oversee the programming and production of conforming parts on CNC machines, ensuring that we meet our customers' quality and delivery expectations. Collaboration with the Production Manager, Setter/Operators, and fellow Operators is essential to foster a right-first-time approach in all departmental tasks. Adherence to established techniques and practices is crucial, alongside a commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to learn and develop skills through training within an AS9100 quality environment.
Key Duties:
Develop CNC machine programs from models and drawings utilizing CAD/CAM software for both offline and online programming. Determine and select appropriate tooling for efficient part manufacturing. Identify and implement suitable work holding systems for part production. Operate and utilize machines safely. Load programs onto machines, selecting defined tooling and setting correct offsets. Conduct in-process inspections of parts produced by the machines. Ensure the production of conforming parts according to specifications. Perform deburring operations as necessary. Change tool inserts and offsets as required. Accurately complete all necessary documentation. Utilize SFDC (Shop Floor Data Collection) for accurate job clocking. Report any non-conforming parts via SFDC and to the team leader. Propose enhancements to programs/tooling to boost productivity and quality. Conduct part marking when necessary. Utilize relevant Metrology Equipment proficiently. Operate CMM Measuring Equipment (training provided if needed). Serve as a subject matter expert in CNC machining on lathes. Assist in training and mentoring trainee setter/operators, operators, and apprentices. Apply best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality of machine programs. Recommend improvements to work holding, tooling, machinery, and processes to elevate productivity and customer satisfaction. Maintain machinery as directed. Collaborate as an active team member and provide support to colleagues as needed.Candidate Profile:
A minimum of 5 years of experience programming Fanuc CNC / Siemens Controls. At least 5 years of experience setting and operating CNC Mills; this role requires skilled programmers/setters. Candidates must have a reliable commute and reside within a commutable distance to the company.Compensation Package:
Overtime opportunities are available at a rate of 1.33 times the hourly wage.
