Job Description

Job Summary

This is a leadership role focused on delivering ambitious business growth targets for the UK and Ireland region, utilizing the Visa suite of B2B products. The successful candidate will leverage their network in the payments ecosystem, develop a B2B payments vision for the sub-region, and lead the team to work with Visa Issuers, Fintechs, and acquirers to maximize spend on the Visa network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a clear B2B payments strategy specific to the UK and Ireland region, prioritizing key opportunities and executing a targeted plan.
  • Approach client opportunities with a solution-oriented approach, deploying Visa in-house and partnership solutions effectively.
  • Ensure VCS is recognized as the go-to partner of choice for commercial clients across the UK and Ireland, leading and influencing a wide array of functions and senior stakeholders.
  • Drive connectivity with the VCS regional and global teams to ensure key synergies are maximized and best practices from other regions are leveraged effectively.
  • Have a strong understanding of the B2B payments market in the UK and Ireland, including the business travel ecosystem and how banks leverage multiple payment solutions to support their business customers.
  • Engage with Visa Issuers at a senior level, maintaining senior-level contacts and being a successful advisor and influencer, ensuring Visa products are the preference for Visa issuers.
  • Manage a collaborative and focused team of business development, account executive, and solutions specialists, working collaboratively with other teams in Visa to ensure customer objectives are met and regional financial targets are achieved.
Requirements
  • A strategic leader with an established track record in B2B payments and a rounded profile with experience across strategy, product, and business development, preferably in a card network environment.
  • A career in business-to-business payments (card network, cross-border, and domestic account-to-account) is essential, with an interest in the future of payments and the change being driven by regulation.
  • An individual who is established in the payments industry in the UK and is well known to senior leaders in banks, Fintechs, and payment companies, able to represent Visa in multiple forums and meetings.
  • Strong financial, analytical, collaborative, and product skills, with the ability to manage major opportunities and influence both internal and external business partners.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to establish open and transparent relationships.
  • A willingness to travel within the UK and Ireland up to 20%.
