Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Accountant, you will play a vital role in our core team, supporting Management Accountants who oversee our client portfolio. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation of Statutory Accounts for various clients.

Your contributions will be essential in gathering, creating, and submitting precise statutory accounts to the appropriate authorities.

Daily tasks will include the preparation and timely submission of accurate accounts at year-end to facilitate tax planning, as well as the preparation of Annual Accounts, Corporation Tax returns, Self-Assessments, and necessary administrative tasks.

You will also address any client inquiries related to statutory accounts, ensuring our clients feel informed and supported.

As you develop your skills and knowledge, you will have the opportunity to progress into a more senior or leadership role.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in preparing and delivering Statutory Accounts in either a practice or industry environment.

Comfort with client interactions and proactive communication with clients and stakeholders is essential. Building strong relationships with stakeholders is a priority, and we want to understand why this matters to you as a Financial Accountant.

Meeting strict deadlines is crucial, and you should be able to discuss your experience with deadlines and how you ensured they were met.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for accounting purposes, is required. We are interested in hearing about the various functions and formulas you have utilized in Excel, especially your expertise with Lookups and Pivot Tables.

Adaptability and a willingness to learn quickly, along with an interest in new technology and cloud software, are important traits for this position.

While we welcome candidates with varied backgrounds, we are particularly interested in those who are part-qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or AAT.

Experience with Xero is highly desirable but not mandatory, as training and certification will be provided.
