About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Law Specialist to join our team at GreenSquareAccord. As a Family Law Specialist, you will provide advice, information, and practical assistance to victims of domestic abuse involved in Criminal and/or Family & Civil Proceedings who are acting as Litigants in Person (LiPs).

You will assist GDASS clients involved in criminal proceedings that give rise to associated Family & Civil Law proceedings. You will attend court, in person or remotely, to represent and/or assist GDASS clients. Additionally, you will write and deliver specialist general and advanced training for LiPs going through the Family Court on a monthly rolling basis.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a recognised and Accredited Legal Training [eg Solicitor, Legal Executive or Senior Paralegal], and ongoing regulation in Family Law. You must have a minimum of 2 years' experience of working within the civil and family courts, as well as a minimum of 2 years' experience of working with victims of domestic abuse.

You will also need to have a minimum of 2 years' experience of working directly with customers in a challenging or potentially challenging environment, and experience working with and directing volunteers. You should be able to prioritise workload, manage caseload, and make appropriate decisions. Strong, up-to-date legal knowledge is essential to enable fast and effective signposting and advice.
