Job Description

Job Title: Vehicle Damage Assessor

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our team at FMG Repair Services. As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing the extent of damage to vehicles, preparing and maintaining records of estimates, and liaising with insurance companies and customers to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the extent of damage to vehicles and prepare detailed estimates for repairs
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of estimates and repairs
  • Liaise with insurance companies to obtain authorization for repairs
  • Communicate with customers to explain repair methodologies and ensure their satisfaction
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the bodyshop and other functional areas to ensure efficient and effective repairs

Requirements:

  • Qualification in a relevant field, such as NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds
  • Experience in a bodyshop or related industry
  • Full UK driving license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
