Job Title: Prison Offender Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prison Offender Manager to join our team at HMP Haverigg. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for managing and assessing low to medium risk prisoners, preparing and implementing their sentence plans, and providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and assess prisoners to identify their needs and develop effective sentence plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to prisoners to help them achieve their goals and reduce reoffending.
  • Work closely with other agencies and organizations to provide a comprehensive support network for prisoners.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of prisoners.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the prison.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with prisoners and understanding of the factors related to offending.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the work of the criminal justice system.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with prisoners and staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
