About the Role
As a Senior Podiatrist in Offender Health, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients within a HMP setting. Your duties will include determining clinical diagnosis and podiatry treatment indicated, and maintaining records as an autonomous practitioner.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • To manage your own clinical caseload
  • To maintain professional standards
  • To comply with all PPH standards, policies, and procedures

Clinical
  • To be professional and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your work
  • To ensure a high standard of clinical care for patients under your management
  • To interpret and analyze clinical and non-clinical facts to form accurate diagnoses and prognoses
  • To recommend the best course of intervention and develop comprehensive discharge plans

Professional
  • To maintain your own clinical professional development by keeping up-to-date with new trends and developments
  • To communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all colleagues to ensure delivery of a coordinated service
  • To participate in the staff appraisal scheme and Personal Development Plan (PDP)

Organisational
  • To be responsible for your area of work and plan and organize efficiently and effectively with regard to patient management and use of time
  • To decide priorities for patient management and ensure these remain in accordance with best clinical practice
