Position Overview
Westmoore Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to enhance the financial operations of Hull & East Yorkshire Mind.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate monthly billing in line with project agreements and collaborate with Managers to assess revenue and outstanding debts.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements, including reviews of monthly profit and loss and balance sheets.
  • Oversee the monthly payroll process.
  • Reconcile financial data between Xero and other platforms (such as rent, expenses, and payroll).
  • Provide assistance for all financial and rental systems.
  • Supervise and update the expense management system and purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.
  • Collaborate effectively with staff from other departments to guarantee timely and accurate financial data submission and comprehension.
  • Support the development and upkeep of financial protocols.
  • Provide coverage for essential functions of other finance team members during their absences, contingent upon prior training.
  • Offer assistance to the Finance team as needed.

Required Systems Knowledge
  • Xero (accounting software)
  • Excel (intermediate proficiency)
  • Moss (expense management)
  • Employment Hero (HR, Payroll, and Benefits system)
  • Salesforce (Customer Relationship Management)

Qualifications and Skills
  • Completion or progress towards AAT level 3 or 4 is advantageous.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Team-oriented.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficient in Excel and technologically adept.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: £23,000 - £26,000 annually
  • 37 hours per week across 5 days (flexible start and finish times)
  • 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays.
  • Additional day off for your birthday after one year of service.
  • Pension plan with 5% employee contribution and 3% employer contribution.
  • Standard working hours from 09:00 to 17:00, with a 30-minute lunch break and early finish at 16:30 on Fridays.
  • Primarily office-based role with some flexibility for confidential tasks.
