Job Title: Senior Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children's Service at Kent County Council.

About the Role

As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for leading a team of social workers and providing expert guidance and support to ensure the best possible outcomes for vulnerable children.

You will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective strategies to support children who have fled their home countries and are seeking asylum in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of social workers to provide high-quality support to unaccompanied asylum-seeking children
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support children's needs and well-being
  • Work closely with other agencies and partners to ensure seamless support for children
  • Provide expert guidance and support to social workers to ensure best practice
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to support the service
What We Offer

We offer a competitive basic salary between £43,810 and £49,989, depending on experience, and the potential to earn up to £57,989 per year when market premiums are applied.

We also offer a range of benefits, including:

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • A Full UK Driving Licence (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
